I learned to sail on a sunfish at the age of 10. Terrified of turning it over, my dad would insist we not be driven by fear and avoid the sea but go forth! Reluctantly, I would drag the sunfish from the sandy launch and hop in. I so wanted to enjoy the adventure but I was so very afraid of flipping! I slowly learned to overcome the fear I must face it to replace it. Over time, my fear shifted to awe and wonder. Is there a fear you are facing?
